Crystal Mountain 2014

Crystal Mountain Trip Crystal Mountain Trip
We show up at the cabin and right away our weekend begins with laughter, drinking and fun. BF some how found a Mexican hat and wears it as he is determined to have a log fire going. It didn't take long to realize later that night that it was a crucial key to keeping the living room warm when we all went to bed, cause it sure did get cold when the fire burned down in the middle of the night / early morn. I didn't take much photos, during the day. On Saturday, some of the guys left the to go eat some dumplings and do some shopping. Another half of people went skiing at Crystal Mountain, and a group of ladies stayed behind and played board games like Catan and Bananagrams. We snuggled up on the inflatable bed and the couches that surrounded the small television and nostalgically watched Lion King on VHS.

We prepped dinner with chef Patty, and waited for the others to return from their day adventures. It's perhaps the most food I've seen a group of women prep, in peeling potatoes, and roasting meat. But everything turned out delicious! We ate together that night, played some more games, and shared stories with one another. It was clear that Michelle's love for Catan began on this trip... or shall I say her addiction, as she couldn't get enough one game after the next. :D

Sunday, we all got ready to head home, heading to Maggiano's for lunch together before heading our separate ways. I ordered something really delicious that had spinach and papaya in it, I can't seem to recall the name of the dish. As a take home dish, I took home some traditional spaghetti with a giant meatball.
